Lucy Heyman is a vocal and performance coach, researcher and lecturer.

She is the co-author of industry-funded musicians’ health and performance manual, Sound Advice: The Ultimate Guide to a Healthy and Successful Career in Music.

Lucy’s PhD research at the Royal College of Music focuses on the health and wellbeing support of artists, and she presents her original work at international conferences and in peer-reviewed journals.

In 2018 she founded musicians’ health and performance consultancy, Elevate Music, working with artists, music industry organisations and charities.

She also hosts the health-focused Elevate Music Podcast in partnership with Help Musicians, with guests including Imogen Heap, Dodie, Shaun Ryder, Nina Nesbitt and more. Lucy holds a MSc in Performance Science from the Royal College of Music and a BA in Music from Bristol University. She is a fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
